Football is, after all, a wonderful way to get rid of your aggressions without going to jail for it.
- Heywood Hale Broun
The Football season is at its half way point and so many unexpected things have happened to date:- Tom Brady is out for the season and NE is coping without him. Brady going down in the first week of the season really SUCKED for those fantasy football owners that picked him in the first round.
- The Tennessee Titans are the only undefeated team left. Whouda thunk it?
- The Colts are struggling to win.
- Romo is out for a few weeks with a broken pinkie and the Cowboys have lost 2 in row. (I'm not complaining.) All those pre-season Super Bowl predictions may fall short.
- The Bills are 5-1, really the Bills?
- Detroit & Cincy are both still win less.
In a season of ups and downs it's been hard to accurately predict the winners. I've only had 1 really BAD week and a whole LOT of middle of the road weeks. I was 9-5 in week 7. Not too bad, but not great either. It wasn't enough to win and that's the bottom line.
Tom &
Amy both went 11-3 for the week, but Tom beat her out in the end by predicting closest to the MNF score. Yeah, Amy's not too happy about it and I'm sure she'll be clawing for that winners badge this week even more than before, since she's lost 2 weeks in a row. Congrats Tom!!!
Now on to my picks. As usual they are listed first in
BOLD and in team colors.
BALTIMORE over Oakland
CAROLINA over Arizona
TB over Dallas
(yeah, so Dallas only loses when I pick them to win, so they will likely win this week just to spite me!)
DETROIT over Washington
(They have to win eventually, right?)
NE over St. Louis
NYJ over KC
NO over SD
PHILADELPHIA over Atlanta
BUFFALO over Miami
JAX over Cleveland
HOUSTON over Cincy
SF over Seattle
NYG over Pittsburgh
INDY over Tennessee
(yes, I really did pick Indy. It'll come back to bite me I'm sure of it!)
MNF combined score = 42If you wanna play head on over to
Insta-Moms for some good ole' fashioned trash talkin'.
