Weigh-In Wednesday on Thursday; oops...

Wow, so I just realized that I forgot to write my weigh-in post yesterday. It's been a busy week here in GreisLand. I'm moving this weekend and being the good procrastinator that I am I saved my packing for the last minute, because I hate packing and that's just how I roll.

The weigh-in didn't go too well this week. I gained 5 pounds. I just want to know how a person can gain 5 pounds in a week when she's still exercising and eating better. OK, so I didn't eat perfectly, but it wasn't horrible either, but 5 pounds is a LOT. So, I guess all I can do is hope that next week is better. I'll definitely be hitting the gym a few extra days and I'll be watching the food more closely. Have I mentioned that the Rodeo starts next week and I'm going at least 3 nights, so yeah, do the eating temptations ever end?

For those of you keeping track, here are the official stats:

Update:
Starting Weight (1/5/2009) - 283.4
End of Week 6 (2/18/2009) - 268 lbs.
End of Week 7 (2/25/2009) - 273 lbs
Gain + 5 lbs.
Total YTD loss - 10.4 lbs.
123 lbs. to go to reach final goal weight

A writing assignment, really?!?!?

I never thought that I would participate in a WRITING ASSIGNMENT again, since I'm no longer in school, but this totally sounds FUN!!!! If you want to participate, too, go check out Mama Kat's blog for all the juicy details.

Basically Mama Kat posts a few writing topics, your "assignment", you choose the one you want to write about and off you go.

If you were starring on American Idol TONIGHT and HAD to sing, what song would you choose and why.

So, this question in general is a laugher for ANYONE that knows me in "real" life. I can't sing, I don't pretend to be able to sing and unless you're in my shower (and sometimes my car) you will likely NEVER hear me sing. Oh, wait...there are those 1/2 dozen drunken karaoke nights, but that doesn't count really, because I was tipsy D.R.U.N.K!
But, if I could sing, and I was drunk crazy enough to audition for American Idol I would totally pick a Lionel Richie song, because who doesn't LOVE Lionel? It would be hard to do Lionel justice and there are just too many awesome great heartfelt songs to choose from, but I would do my best.
I would be tempted to go Dancing on the Ceiling, but that might be a little too fast paced for my AI debut, and fast paced means dancing and I don't dance either.
My second choice would be Easy like Sunday morning, but, are Sunday mornings really that easy? Not at my house they're not.
My third choice, and the song I would definitely choose, is Ballerina Girl.
Why?
Because, when the song was popular I was a ballerina girl.
I use to anticipate dread when my mom would happily escort drag me to dance class after school, but as much as I hated it I went and had a good time.
When I hear this song I'm reminded of all the times my dad, I am a "daddy's girl", would sing it to me, because I was his ballerina girl, now I'm just his chubby girl.
The song brings back bottled up happy memories of my childhood and for that I'm grateful.
