This should hold you over...

I've started writing my BlogHer post, really I have.
But ever since returning from Chicago I've been busy.
I'll sit down to write and things come up.
You know like work, family and flying roaches.

I tweeted about my distress and Issa came through for me in the clutch.
I now present to you my BlogHer recap, written by Issa.

"BlogHer rocked. I miss my peeps. Can't wait for next year. The end."

That pretty much sums up my entire weekend of AWESOMENESS.
This should hold you over til my "real" post is written, right?
Lets just hope that no more craziness happens and I should have a finished post before the end of the week, but definitely don't hold me to that. M'kay?

XOXO

3 days...

Disclaimer:
If you're not going to Chicago this weekend you may want to stop reading now.
Because, yes, this is one of THOSE posts.
It's all about BlogHer.

OMG, BlogHer is 3 days away and I have so much to do to prepare.
  • There's shopping to be done.
  • Bags to be packed.
  • Batteries to be charged.
  • Lists to be made.
  • Etc, Etc, Etc...
Everyone else is doing it, so I thought I'd join in.
What you'll need to know about me before we meet in Chicago, the Cliffs Notes version.

♥ My name is Greis, it's pronounced Grace.
♥ I'll answer to just about anything, Greis, Greisie, G, hey you.
♥ I won't be offended if you don't recognize me or know who I am.
♥ Please don't hold it against me if I don't recognize you.
♥ I'm horrible with names, so please don't hate me if I forget yours.
♥ I'm a hugger, but understand that not everyone is.
♥ I love babies, so if you need to put yours down for a while, I'm more than willing to relieve you for a bit.
♥ I don't drink often, so a few drinks has been known to get me pretty tipsy.
♥ I've been known to karaoke and dance when tipsy/drunk.
♥ I can't sing or dance well, so don't hold my drunkenness against me, please.

Ok, so I'm sure there's so much more I should list, but really I'm too excited to think clearly right now.
For the record, just so you know, I'm going to BlogHer to have fun, meet lots of great people and learn a thing or two about blogging. Oh, and the parties. I'm definitely going for the PARTIES!

If you'll be in Chicago this weekend, drop me a note, I'd love to add you to my people to stalk meet list.

See you in the Windy City.
In 3 days... (squeeeeee!)

I &hearts Faces - Week 28

It's week 28 of the I ♥ Faces photo challenge.

It's usually all about FACES over there, but this week they've changed things up a bit.
This week my favorite faces website is focusing on FEET.
As soon as I heard about the theme I immediately knew which picture I would use as my submission.
This is a self portrait of my feet while lounging on a beach in Culebra, an island about 20 miles east of Puerto Rico. This was during my last trip to PR in July 2008.

If you would like to participate in the I ♥ Faces challenge head on over to http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com.

Supporting an AMAZING cause...

Heather & Mike have started an organization to support families & babies.
An organization close to their hearts and the hearts of MANY others.
An organization that will honor their daughter Maddie for many, many years to come.
The announcement of this new endeavor has sparked interest by many, including me.

I'm proud to be a supporter of such an AMAZING cause.
Please be sure to click over to Friends of Maddie and help support a cause that will keep Maddie in the thoughts of many for years to come.
