The Twilight Series...

I gave in...
I said I wasn't going to, but I have...

I started reading the TWILIGHT series.
A couple of friends, and some co-workers, have not stopped raving about the book & movie for weeks now. They've been trying to convince me to cross over to the dark side and I was doing a great job holding my ground...

What can I say, my will power SUCKS!

I bought book 1, Twilight, and started reading it over the weekend. It was GREAT. So great, in fact, that I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 days. For those of you unaware of the Twilight greatness, it's a Young Adult love story with vampires and such. I would totally tell you more, except I don't want to give any of the AWESOMENESS away.

After finishing the book I went to check out the movie. The movie was good. It followed the book pretty well, while adding some extras to the storyline, but not effecting the overall of it too much. If I had to choose between the two I would say I enjoyed the book more. My recommendation, if you're considering reading the series, would be to watch the movie first. I personally would have enjoyed it so much more if I had nothing to compare it to. I feel like for most of the movie I was judging and noticing too many of the differences, rather than enjoying it and the eye candy actor who plays Edward.

I've started book 2, New Moon, and hope to be done with the series before the new year. I'll definitely keep ya'll updated.

Okay, I gave in too this weekend! I started Twilight on Sunday afternoon, finished it Monday morning. Then started New Moon on Monday afternoon and finished it Tuesday afternoon.

Then I lied to my husband by telling him I hadn't finished the second book *cough* and put myself on a Twilight series hiatus until next week.

**And I realize I risk bodily injury by admitting this, but I DO NOT think the Edward of the movie is as hot as he should be. He just doesn't do it for me. But I haven't seen the movie, so I can't say for sure.**
