Early voting started today. Thousands have lined up at early voting locations around the nation so that their voices could be heard. I was one of those many thousands. I waited in line for 40 minutes, nothing compared to what the wait will be, come November 4, but a LONG wait none the less. As I stood in line I took in the sights and sounds around me. The diverseness of the crowd was pretty remarkable. There were young & old, black & white, short & tall. Everyone there had a purpose; having their voice heard in what could be the BIGGEST election turn-out in our country's history.
I think voting is an important task, one that every eligible American should take pride in doing. Why wouldn't you want your voice heard? Why would anyone sit back and let others make a choice for them?
I'm not going to try and sway you, my lone reader, to vote MY way, but I will say that voting is a privilege and regardless of who you think will be a better fit for our country YOU need to vote.
Here in Texas (and I believe around the nation) early voting ends October 31, so get out there and let your voices be heard!

Congrats! We don't have early voting in CA, just absentee ballots. I kind of wish we did, but we'd probably eff it up something fierce. :-)
